The trailer for Meghna Gulzar‘s upcoming film, “Sam Bahadur,” was unveiled today, featuring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. This period film, based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, showcases Vicky Kaushal as the charismatic war hero, alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh portraying late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and Sanya Malhotra as Sam’s wife, Silloo.
Vicky Kaushal, who previously collaborated with director Meghna Gulzar on the spy thriller “Raazi,” has undergone a remarkable transformation to embody the persona of Sam Manekshaw, complete with his distinctive handlebar mustache.
In a teaser posted on Instagram, Vicky expressed, “This is the story of the man who devoted his life to the Indian Army and the nation.” The trailer highlights Vicky Kaushal‘s portrayal of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. It showcases powerful dialogues and his interactions with influential figures of the time, including Indira Gandhi, the then-prime minister. The film is set in the late 1960s and early ’70s.
