The grant is part of a broader push to transition away from fossil fuels and to embrace cleaner energy alternatives. Despite Texas‘ status as a leader in energy, only 1% of its vehicle fleet is currently electrified. The addition of these new charging stations aims to bridge this gap and to encourage more residents to consider EVs as a viable option.
