Vijay Sethupathi Candid Revelation: Why He Was Afraid to Talk to Katrina Kaif on ‘Merry Christmas’ Set

Vijay Sethupathi opens up about his experience working with Bollywood star Katrina Kaif on the set of ‘Merry Christmas’.

In the upcoming film ‘Merry Christmas‘, Vijay Sethupathi, known for his stellar performances, admitted feeling intimidated by his co-star, Bollywood icon Katrina Kaif. This revelation came as Sethupathi spoke about his experience working alongside Kaif in their much-anticipated movie, marking her debut in the South Indian film industry.

Katrina, while praising Sethupathi as a perceptive individual, disclosed that the actor wasn’t particularly chatty on set. Reflecting on her initial impression, she shared this unusual experience of feeling isolated during filming with Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who had previously worked with the director, Sriram Raghavan.

However, Varun reassured her, stating that it might have been a directorial preference not to engage in extensive conversations on set. This conflicted with Sriram Raghavan‘s denial of such a directive.

Later, Vijay Sethupathi candidly confessed to Katrina that his reserve stemmed from his awe of her stardom and experience in the industry. He admitted, “I’m afraid of you; that’s why I didn’t. I am new to this industry. She is well experienced, she is a big star here.”

Sethupathi, renowned for his recent performance alongside Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Jawan‘, has further established himself as a beloved actor in the southern film industry.
