The US weekend box office witnessed a thrilling showdown as Prabhas’s action-packed ‘Salaar‘ dominated, while ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘ soared past the $100 million milestone, overshadowing Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki,’ which struggled to make an impact after high expectations.
Despite the anticipation surrounding Shah Rukh Khan‘s latest venture post the success of ‘Jawan‘ and ‘Pathaan,’ ‘Dunki‘ fell short, securing the tenth spot with an estimated $3.59 million on Friday, as per Deadline reports. Meanwhile, Prabhas’s ‘Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire’ roared into the fifth position, raking in an impressive $5.48 million across 802 screens.
DC’s ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ starring Jason Momoa, led the box office with a triumphant $28.1 million in its initial three days of release across 3,706 theaters in North America, surpassing the $100 million global mark within its first weekend.
While ‘Wonka‘ continued to captivate audiences, amassing $17.7 million in its second weekend and reaching a domestic total of $83.6 million, ‘All of Us Strangers‘ debuted spectacularly, drawing attention in New York and Los Angeles with a remarkable per-theater average of $33,034.
