Urmila Matondkar Files for Divorce from Husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir After 8 Years
Urmila Matondkar, the acclaimed actress known for her role in Rangeela, has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Mohsin Akhtar Mir, after eight years of marriage. The divorce petition was filed in Bandra, Mumbai, according to sources close to the couple.
An insider revealed to a leading daily, “After careful consideration, Urmila has decided to call it quits on her marriage with Mohsin. She has already filed for divorce in court. The reason behind the separation is still unclear, but it seems the divorce is not happening on mutual terms.”
Urmila and Mohsin tied the knot on February 4, 2016, in a low-key wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family. The couple had visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar prior to their Nikah ceremony.
Mohsin Akhtar Mir, a businessman and model from Kashmir, met Urmila in 2014 at the wedding of fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s niece. While Mohsin pursued a career in acting with roles in films like It’s A Man’s World, Luck By Chance, and B.A. Pass, he eventually shifted his focus to business.
