Two Teenage Girls Charged with Capital Murder in Dallas Shooting Incident

Dallas police have arrested two teenage girls, aged 16 and 15, in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old man near Victory Park in Dallas early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred on July 14 in the 2500 block of N. Houston Street, where officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Jake Reynosa, 18, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide investigators determined that Reynosa was shot after an encounter with multiple individuals. Following leads, police located the teenage suspects and attempted to stop their vehicle. The suspects fled on foot, but authorities apprehended the 15-year-old girl shortly afterward. The 16-year-old girl was arrested the following day, July 15.

Both teenagers are facing charges of capital murder in connection with Reynosa’s death. Due to their ages, their identities have not been disclosed by authorities.

This tragic incident remains under investigation by the Dallas Police Department.
