Expressing his pride in representing India, Yadav mentioned, “I think it’s a proud moment. It will take some time to sink in, but I’m very proud.” When asked about managing the dual roles of batting and leadership, Yadav emphasized, “I left the (captaincy) luggage in the dressing room. I just tried to enjoy my batting.”

Acknowledging Rinku Singh‘s crucial contribution, Yadav praised the team’s composure, stating, “The way the boys kept their nerve was great to see. It was a tailor-made situation for Rinku. His composure relaxed me also.”
