About Sukhee
The film’s synopsis states that it is a lighthearted, slice-of-life tale centered around Sukhpreet ‘Sukhee’ Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who travels to Delhi to attend her school reunion. Throughout the course of just seven days, Sukhee relives her 17-year-old self and undergoes a multitude of experiences, emerging rekindled, reborn, and having made the challenging transition from wife and mother to woman once again. The film invites viewers to rediscover the Bedhadak, Besharam, Beparwah, and Sukhee that reside within every woman.
Sukhee takes pride in having a team led by women, comprising of Sonal Joshi as the director, Radhika Anand as the story writer, and Paullomi Dutta as the screenplay writer. The production is a collaborative effort between Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 22nd.
