Stree 2 Set to Enter ₹300 Crores Club After a Phenomenal First Week
Stree 2 has had an extraordinary first week at the box office, raking in an impressive ₹289.60 crores in just seven days. Released on a Wednesday, the film, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, quickly became one of the highest-grossing films in its opening week. This success comes with one more day still left in the extended first week, ensuring that the film will comfortably enter the ₹300 crores club today.
The film’s strong performance began with paid previews on Wednesday evening, which brought in ₹9.40 crores. The momentum continued with significant collections on Independence Day, pulling in ₹55.40 crores, followed by ₹58.20 crores on Sunday. The film maintained its pace with a day exceeding ₹40 crores and a couple of days in the ₹30 crores range. Even the last two days of the week, which saw collections in the ₹20 crores range, contributed to this remarkable first-week total.
While today may mark the first time Stree 2 dips below ₹20 crores, the film is expected to bounce back over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday projected to bring in over ₹30 crores each. This performance will set up the film for a massive second week, likely propelling it past the ₹400 crores mark in no time.
With its stellar box office performance, Stree 2 is on its way to becoming an all-time blockbuster.
