Gopinath’s biography, “Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey.” The film tells the story of Vir Mhatre (Akshay Kumar), a village teacher’s son with dreams that literally touch the sky. His ambition to start India’s first low-cost airline faces numerous challenges, including opposition from powerful airline magnates and financial institutions. Yet, Vir’s undying spirit, bolstered by his strong-willed wife Rani (Radhikka Madan) and his supportive village, propels him forward in a journey filled with setbacks, heartbreak, and eventual triumph.

The film’s script, penned by Sudha Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi, with dialogues by Pooja Tolani, effectively captures the essence of an underdog story.
