Salman Khan to Begin Shooting Battle of Galwan in August with Studio and Ladakh Schedules
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to begin filming his next ambitious project, Battle of Galwan, in early August 2025. Inspired by the life of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, the film is based on a chapter from India’s Most Fearless 3 by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.
The initial schedule will kick off at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio, where an elaborate set replicating key real-world locations is currently under construction and expected to be ready by the end of July. According to a production source, the 10–12 day shoot in Mumbai will focus on character-building and personal moments of the protagonist before the narrative shifts to combat-heavy scenes.
Following the studio schedule, the team will head to Ladakh for the film’s most intense outdoor shoot. This leg will include combat sequences, night operations, and high-altitude simulated war scenes.
Salman Khan has reportedly been in training since May to prepare for the physically demanding role, focusing on military tactics and endurance.
Interestingly, recent reports confirm that Battle of Galwan will not release on Eid 2026, avoiding a box office clash with Toxic, Dhamaal 4, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
Produced with an emphasis on authenticity and emotion, Battle of Galwan promises a powerful portrayal of valor and sacrifice.
