Salaar, the action-packed film featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has retained its stronghold at the box office despite a 35% drop in advance bookings for Christmas Day. The movie has already achieved remarkable success with over 6.16 lakh tickets sold in advance bookings, setting the stage for another impactful day at the box office.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar swiftly entered the coveted 200 crore club within its opening weekend, largely propelled by robust support from advance bookings. As the Christmas holiday unfolds, anticipation looms for another substantial turnout, ensuring the film’s continued success.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, home to fervent Prabhas fans, have been pivotal in driving Salaar’s box office performance. Out of the amassed 13.90 crores in gross advance bookings for day 4, over 8.20 crores hail from these states, representing a sale of more than 6.19 lakh tickets nationwide. Despite the 35% decline from the previous day’s 21.50 crores.
Salaar’s global triumph is equally noteworthy. With a staggering 295.70 crores gross business in the initial 2 days and entry into the 300 crore club, expectations are high for its ascent into the 400-crore club post-Christmas. The film’s sustained momentum post-holiday season could cement its status as a monumental blockbuster.
