Richa Chadha, reflecting on her entry into Bollywood, revealed an unsettling incident from her early days in the industry. The actor recalled an instance where she was advised to go on a date with a married actor for career advancement.
During an interview in 2017, Chadha shared her discomfort when a PR person suggested texting an actor for a date, despite knowing the actor’s marital status. Recounting the incident, she said, “When I came to the industry, one PR person told me, ‘Send a text message to this actor. Go on a date with him’. And I said, ‘But he is married!'”
Additionally, Chadha revealed another suggestion to message a cricketer for the sake of her career and public image. Shedding light on the challenges faced by outsiders in the industry, she emphasized the lack of guidance and mentorship for newcomers, stating that they navigate their paths independently, often without advice or guidance regarding career choices or industry nuances.
