Many devoted followers were not pleased with Ranveer Singh’s choice to play the next Don. The film’s director Farhan Akhtar finally speaks.
Farhan Akhtar is responding to the conflicting feelings that surfaced after revealing that Ranveer Singh would be taking the place of Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming film Don 3. Ranveer is very excited about the franchise. It got formerly headed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, the director said in an interview.
Regarding the criticism, Farhan continued, “Ranveer is fantastic. He is excellent at the role. As you can expect, he is also extremely nervous and thrilled about the event. There are certainly large shoes for you to fill. But when Shah Rukh did it, we went through the same emotional process, and everyone was like, “Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?” The whole event then took place.
The production company Excel Entertainment, run by Farhan Akhtar and RiteshSidhwani, released a first-look trailer of Ranveer in the lead role last week. There is a new era. The caption said, “#Don3 @ranveersingh @faroutakhtar.” The announcement received a mainly unfavorable response, with many people labeling it a satire instead. In the 2006 film Don: The Chase Begins Again and its 2011 sequel Don 2: The King Is Back, Shah Rukh portrayed Don. Amitabh Bachchan performed it in Chandra Barot’s 1978 movie.
Ranveer recently uploaded images from his early years on Instagram and discussed how Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan’s films inspired him to pursue acting as a career. Gosh, his caption read. That is something I’ve been wanting to do for a very, very long time!
