Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani Starrer Don 3 Delayed Due to Farhan Akhtar’s Acting Commitments
The production of the highly anticipated Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh, has encountered yet another delay. Initially scheduled to begin filming in August 2023, the movie’s shoot was rescheduled for January 2025. However, reports now suggest a further postponement due to Farhan Akhtar’s acting commitments in his upcoming film, 120 Bahadur. The film, which showcases the heroic Battle of Rezang during the Indo-China war of 1962, sees Farhan in the role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC.
Farhan recently shared his first look as Major Singh on Instagram and confirmed that filming for 120 Bahadur has commenced. A source revealed, “Farhan is prioritizing 120 Bahadur before shifting focus to Don 3. The shoot for 120 Bahadur will take several months, which has pushed Don 3’s schedule to May-June 2025.”
Delays in Farhan Akhtar’s Directorial Projects:
Farhan’s other directorial projects have faced similar delays. His much-awaited Jee Le Zaraa, a road-trip film centered on female friendships and featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, remains on hold. While Alia Bhatt previously mentioned the scheduling challenges, she emphasized the team’s commitment to making the film, saying, “There’s a time and place for everything. We just need to wait for the right moment.”
