Priyanka Chopra likely to Star Opposite Mahesh Babu in SS Rajamouli’s Next Epic

Priyanka Chopra reportedly plans to take on the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu in an exciting new film. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this unique African jungle adventure draws inspiration from the traits of Lord Hanuman.

Rajamouli aims to commence filming this epic tale in April 2025, following the blockbuster successes of Baahubali and RRR. Sources indicate that Priyanka will return to the Indian film industry through this pan-world jungle adventure.

“The script nears completion, and the team plans to start shooting in April 2025. Rajamouli wanted a female lead with global appeal, and Priyanka fit the bill perfectly. Over the past six months, the filmmaker held several meetings with her, and they finalized the collaboration seamlessly,” revealed a source.

This untitled film marks Priyanka’s comeback to Indian cinema after a six-year hiatus. Her last role was in The Sky Is Pink.
