Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s crime thriller Kill delivers all the intensity you’d expect from a desi version of Train To Busan. In his debut film, Lakshya plays a lethal force, unleashing mayhem on a regular Indian passenger train.
The trailer opens with Lakshya wishing his wife, Tanya Maniktala, a happy fourth wedding anniversary at their home in Mumbai. This brief moment of happiness is the only calm scene in the trailer. As they board a train to an unknown destination, a gang of hooligans led by Raghav Juyal invades their compartment and attacks them.
Co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, and presented by Lionsgate Films, Kill premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. International reviews praised it as a “bonkers action flick” and “brutally violent.” Initially set to debut with the now-shelved Dharma movie Dostana 2, Lakshya stars alongside Ashish Vidyarthi and Harsh Chhaya in this action-packed thriller, set to release in cinemas on July 4.
