Kareena Kapoor Khan, a Bollywood actress, has assumed the role of the new national ambassador for UNICEF India, with former ambassador Priyanka Chopra extending a warm welcome to her in this esteemed position.

In a significant move, celebrated Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has been appointed as the new national ambassador for UNICEF India. Priyanka Chopra, a former national ambassador for the organization, has extended her warm welcome to Kareena, expressing her approval and support for the new appointee.

Kareena, who has been associated with UNICEF India since 2014, will now officially serve in this esteemed role, supporting the organization in advocating for children’s rights. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kareena expressed her gratitude for the past 10 years of collaboration and reaffirmed her commitment to the cause, welcoming four new Youth Advocates and congratulating UNICEF India on its 75th anniversary.

Priyanka Chopra, in response, shared Kareena’s post on her Instagram Stories, expressing her approval with raised hands emojis. Kareena, in turn, thanked Priyanka for her support and replied with a red heart emoji.

As a national ambassador, Kareena will now support UNICEF India in furthering every child’s right to early childhood development, health, education, and gender equality. She had previously served as a Celebrity Advocate for the organization.

Kareena recently acted in the film “Crew,” co-starring with Kriti Sanon, Tabu, and others. Additionally, she will star in Hansal Mehta’s “The Buckingham Murders” and Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again.” On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra has upcoming roles in “Heads of State,” an action comedy featuring Idris Elba, John Cena, and Jack Quaid, as well as “The Bluff,” directed by Frank E Flowers.
