Kansas City Chiefs’ Rashee Rice Accused of Assault at Dallas Nightclub
Dallas police have opened a criminal investigation into Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice for an alleged assault at a Dallas nightclub.
Dallas police have initiated a new criminal investigation involving Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, following an alleged assault at a Dallas nightclub. The incident reportedly occurred early Monday morning at a location on the 600 block of North Harwood Street in Downtown Dallas.
While details are still emerging, Dallas PD confirmed responding to a report of assault around 2:30 a.m. The victim, who drove himself to a hospital for evaluation, sustained non-serious injuries.
As of now, no charges or arrests have been made in connection with the incident. However, Rice is already facing eight felony charges stemming from a high-speed hit-and-run crash in late March on Central Expressway. In this incident, Rice and SMU cornerback Teddy Knox were allegedly speeding at over 115 miles per hour before fleeing the scene. Knox was also arrested and charged for his involvement in the crash.
The recent assault allegations add to Rice’s legal woes, prompting ongoing scrutiny into his conduct both on and off the field.
