Junaid Khan’s Rom-Com Debut Opposite Khushi Kapoor Begins Filming

Junaid Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, is gearing up for his much-anticipated film debut this year. Fresh off the announcement of his historical drama “Maharaj” set to release on Netflix in June, Junaid has commenced filming for his next venture, an as-yet-untitled romantic comedy. Directed by Advait Chandan, known for “Secret Superstar” and “Laal Singh Chaddha,” the film pairs Junaid opposite Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late legendary actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor.

According to sources cited in a Mid-day report, shooting for the romantic comedy began on Monday in Mira Road, Mumbai. Originally slated for June, the production start date was reportedly adjusted to accommodate Junaid’s promotional commitments for “Maharaj” next month.

Shristi Behl and Phantom Films are reportedly producing a Hindi adaptation of the 2022 Tamil hit “Love Today,” originally directed by Pradeep Ranganathan. This marks the banner’s return to production after a hiatus.

The initial three-week shoot schedule in Mumbai includes filming at the Seven Eleven Club banquet hall in Mira Road. The production aims to wrap outdoor filming by mid-June to avoid the onset of the monsoon season.

Junaid Khan’s father, Aamir Khan, actively participated in the film’s pre-production. However, reports suggest that he will be heading to Delhi this week to finalize shooting for his own upcoming project, “Sitaare Zameen Par.”
