A new “theatrical” trailer for Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and directed by Vasan Bala, dropped on Thursday, September 26. Offering a broader look than the previous teaser, the latest promo showcases thrilling action scenes and the intense emotional depth of the prison break story.
In Jigra, Vedang Raina plays Ankur, who is imprisoned abroad and subjected to brutal custodial torture. His fiercely determined sister Satya, portrayed by Bhatt, embarks on a mission to break him out of the high-security prison. The trailer shows Satya undergoing rigorous training for the daring operation. Towards the end, flashbacks reveal the siblings as children, orphaned at a young age, underscoring their unbreakable bond.
Co-written by Vasan Bala and Debashish Irengbam, Jigra is produced by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions, and is set to hit theaters on October 11.
