Jennifer Lawrence Reveals ‘Stressful’ Wedding Moments and Telling Robert De Niro to ‘Go Home’

Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence opens up about the ‘stressful’ moments at her 2019 wedding, sharing anecdotes about ensuring guest enjoyment and playfully telling Robert De Niro to leave.

Jennifer Lawrence, the Academy Award-winning actress, candidly discussed the ups and downs of her 2019 wedding to art gallery director Cooke Maroney. The actress, 33, shared details at the Golden Globe Awards, revealing the unexpected stress she faced, particularly when weather conditions at the reception took a turn for the worse.

Describing the experience as “stressful,” Lawrence expressed concerns about her guests’ enjoyment. She humorously remarked on the challenges of being a bride, joking that it’s “awful” and recalling her worries about guests being cold while her friends assured her everything was fine.

The couple tied the knot at the historic Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island, attended by a star-studded guest list, including Adele, Amy Schumer, Kris Jenner, Emma Stone, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Cameron Diaz, and Robert De Niro.

In a lighthearted moment, Lawrence revealed telling De Niro to “go home” during the rehearsal dinner, thinking he might not be comfortable. She admitted feeling relieved when he left, making her “genuinely feel better.”

Despite the wedding anecdotes, Lawrence, who shares a 1-year-old son with Maroney, was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in “No Hard Feelings,” while Emma Stone took home the award for “Poor Things.”
