Bollywood luminary Jacqueline Fernandez has taken legal action, approaching Delhi’s Patiala House Court, concerning conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar‘s unsettling conduct of issuing public letters addressed to her.
Fernandez’s plea implores the intervention of Delhi Police‘s Economic Offence Wing and the Superintendent of Mandoli Jail, where Chandrashekhar is held in judicial custody. The plea aims for an immediate halt to further correspondence, messages, or statements directed at Jacqueline, directly or indirectly, from Chandrashekhar.
The actor asserts that Chandrashekhar’s continuous dissemination of troubling letters to various media platforms amplifies intimidation, creating a distressing environment for her. Being a protected witness in a significant money-laundering and extortion case involving Chandrashekhar, Fernandez expresses concern for her safety and well-being.
Supporting Jacqueline’s plea, the Economic Offence Wing acknowledges Chandrashekhar’s actions as harassment, impacting her social and professional commitments. They express concerns about the potential threat and its influence on the trial proceedings.
The court has scheduled a further hearing on January 17, 2024, acknowledging Jacqueline’s plea and the gravity of the situation surrounding Sukesh Chandrashekhar‘s actions towards the actor.
