Among these announcements, the first look poster of “IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack” stood out, promising a star-studded ensemble featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Vijay Varma, Arvind Swamy, Dia Mirza, Patralekha, Amrita Puri, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, and Squid Game star Anupam Tripathi.

Based on the harrowing true events of the 1999 hijack of Indian Airlines Flight IC 814, Netflix revealed the first teaser of this gripping web-series, set to launch on August 29. This collaboration with Matchbox Shots and Benaras Mediaworks marks Anubhav Sinha’s streaming directorial debut.

The six-episode series, created and written by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava, plunges viewers into the intense reality faced by passengers and crew during the seven-day hijacking ordeal.
