Netflix on Saturday dropped the teaser of their latest series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Vijay Varma, Arvind Swamy and Dia Mirza among others. The series is created and written by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava.
The show is based on the incident of December 24, 1999, when an Indian Airlines Flight IC 814 embarked on its journey from Kathmandu to New Delhi but was hijacked and was flown to several locations before landing in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Also starring Patralekhaa, Amrita Puri, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa and Squid Game star Anupam Tripathi, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is set to release on August 29. With story by Adrien Levy and Trishant Srivastava, the story is produced by Matchbox Shots and Benaras Mediaworks.
