Hrithik Roshan Stands with Bosco Martis Over Choreographer Credit Issue in Fighter
Bosco Martis, renowned choreographer for ‘Fighter,’ calls out industry practices for excluding choreographers’ credits in song promos.
The much-anticipated film ‘Fighter,’ featuring an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor, has garnered attention with the release of two songs, ‘Sher Khul Gaye‘ and ‘Ishq Jaisa Kuch.’ However, amidst the excitement, choreographer Bosco Martis has raised concerns about the exclusion of choreographers’ names in song promos and films, prompting Hrithik Roshan to step in and address the issue.
Martis, a stalwart in the choreography realm, highlighted the industry’s ongoing struggle to acknowledge choreographers, stating, “Despite songs and dances being celebrated nationwide and worldwide, it’s disheartening that nobody recognizes the choreographers until we actively promote our names.”
Expressing dismay over recent incidents where music directors were credited while choreographers were overlooked, Martis emphasized the importance of acknowledging their creative contributions.
Reportedly disturbed by the oversight, Hrithik Roshan took proactive steps to rectify the issue. He intervened and ensured that Martis received due credit for choreographing both songs in ‘Fighter.’ Following Roshan’s intervention, the YouTube versions of the songs now feature Martis’s name in the credits.
‘Fighter,’ directed by Siddharth Anand, is scheduled for release on January 25, 2023. As the film gears up for its premiere, this incident sheds light on the crucial role of choreographers and the need for industry-wide recognition of their artistic contributions.
