Golden Globes 2024 Nominations: ‘Barbie’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ Lead the Pack

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” and the much-anticipated “Oppenheimer” garner top nominations at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, setting the stage for a highly anticipated event.

The Golden Globe Awards for 2024 unveiled their nominations, spotlighting Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” as the frontrunner with an impressive nine nods, including the coveted Best Picture Musical or Comedy category. The film also secured acting nominations for Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling alongside recognition for three original songs.

Hot on its heels is the much-discussed “Oppenheimer,” capturing eight nominations, including Best Picture Drama and acknowledgments for standout performances by Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Emily Blunt.

This year’s nominations mark a significant shift for the Golden Globes, now under revamped leadership and boasting a more diverse voting body. Cedric the Entertainer and Wilmer Valderrama announced the nominations from the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the same venue set to host the prestigious awards ceremony on January 7.
