Frisco Breaks Ground on $3 Billion Development ‘The Mix’
FRISCO, Texas – Frisco takes a significant step forward with the launch of a new $3 billion development called The Mix, a transformative 112-acre project near Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road.
Delays had left the area undeveloped and an eyesore, but new developers now move ahead with their vision. Construction for the first phase, covering 28 acres, began on Thursday.
This phase introduces retail and office spaces, a high-end grocery store, two luxury hotels, urban living units, a medical office, and part of a central park that anchors the development. The ceremonial groundbreaking started at 4 p.m.
Frisco ranks among the fastest-growing cities in the United States. The city’s population grew by 500% over the past two decades. Known for its landmark projects like The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ practice facility, Frisco continues to add exciting developments.
Future projects include Fields West, a hub for upscale retail, residential spaces, and dining options, scheduled for completion by late 2026. Firefly Park, located at Highway 380 and the tollway, adds 40 acres of trails and a vibrant mixed-use community.
The Mix will redefine Frisco’s landscape, adding modern living spaces, shopping, and recreation. Residents now look forward to the transformation of this empty land into a thriving community hub.
