Fire Engulfs Dallas Apartment Complex, No Injuries Reported
DALLAS – A significant fire broke out at the Arborstone Apartments in the Red Bird area of Dallas on Thursday afternoon. Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) teams responded swiftly to contain the blaze. The two-alarm fire started around 1 p.m. at the complex located on Cockrell Hill Road, causing substantial damage but resulting in no injuries.
A resident reported the fire to the leasing office, stating that their apartment was on fire. Flames tore through the roof of the three-story building by the time firefighters arrived, creating a dramatic scene visible from a distance.
Around 40 to 45 firefighters worked diligently for about 30 minutes to extinguish the flames. SKY 4 images revealed extensive roof damage, with residents standing outside the affected building, shaken but unharmed.
Authorities confirmed that everyone evacuated safely. Investigators are still determining the fire’s cause and assessing the damage to the units. Officials have not disclosed how many residents the fire displaced.
This incident highlights the importance of fire safety and preparedness in residential areas. The swift actions of DFR ensured no casualties occurred, but the fire’s impact on displaced families remains a pressing concern.
