Script Analysis

Do Patti attempts to explore themes of domestic violence, sibling rivalry, and betrayal, but it falters in execution. The story revolves around twin sisters, Saumya and Shailly, who share a troubled childhood that shapes their contrasting personalities. Shades of this narrative feel repetitive, echoing older films like Alone and Sheesha.

The first half sets up a gripping thriller, skillfully building suspense. However, the plot unravels when Kajol’s character intervenes in an already complex narrative. Kanika Dhillon, known for crafting powerful female-led stories, loses control over the story’s many layers.
