The trailer for Vikramaditya Motwane’s cyber thriller CTRL was released on Wednesday morning by Netflix. The film features Ananya Panday as a young woman who hands over control of her life to an AI system following a traumatic experience.
In the trailer, Ananya plays Nella, who creates an account on a platform called CTRL, which allows an AI assistant to manage her life and happiness. Nella is shown trying to move on from a bad breakup after being cheated on by her boyfriend. She asks the AI to ‘remove’ him, only to later discover that he’s gone missing, hinting at the real-world consequences of the AI’s intervention.
Described as a cyber-thriller, CTRL stars Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, it will premiere on Netflix on October 4.
