“Call Me Bae” Starring Ananya Panday Premieres on Prime Video
Prime Video has announced the worldwide premiere date for its much-anticipated Hindi original series, “Call Me Bae,” starring Ananya Panday. Set to debut on September 6, this Dharmatic Entertainment production marks Ananya Panday’s streaming debut in an original series as Bella ‘Bae’ Chowdhary.
Ishita Moitra created “Call Me Bae,” and Collin D’Cunha directed it. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra are the executive producers. The 8-part series showcases an ensemble cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.
The series follows Bae, a former heiress who must adapt to life with her street smarts and style after transitioning from luxury to hustle. Despite facing financial setbacks, Bae refuses to succumb, relying on her resilience and wit to excel in Mumbai’s fast-paced newsrooms. Throughout her journey, she discovers that her true worth lies not in her possessions, but in her character and adaptability.
Written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, “Call Me Bae” promises a blend of drama and humor as it explores themes of self-discovery and empowerment. The series will be available to Prime members in India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide upon its release.
