Body Found in White Rock Lake Amid Search for Missing 8-Year-Old Clara Robinson
Dallas firefighters retrieved a body found floating in White Rock Lake on Tuesday afternoon. The discovery was reported near the White Rock Lake Dog Park on the lake’s north side, just before 3 p.m.
Swift water rescue teams from Dallas Fire-Rescue recovered the body and turned it over to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification. Authorities have yet to disclose any details regarding the body’s gender, age, or identity.
This discovery comes as the search for 8-year-old Clara Robinson entered its eighth day. Clara was last seen on Christmas Eve morning after her family’s vehicle hydroplaned off U.S. Highway 75 and into Post Oak Creek in Sherman. Rescue teams have been combing the area since the tragic accident.
Authorities have not confirmed any connection between the body found in White Rock Lake and Clara Robinson. Investigations are ongoing, and more details are expected as the Medical Examiner completes the identification process.
