Atlee Confirms Hollywood Project Amidst Blockbuster Success

Director Atlee, renowned for his smash hit Jawan, has confirmed plans for a Hollywood project after conquering the Hindi film industry.

After revolutionizing Hindi cinema with the record-shattering blockbuster Jawan, director Atlee Kumar has announced his ambitious expansion into Hollywood. In a recent interview with ABP News, the acclaimed filmmaker revealed plans for a major Hollywood project, promising a thrilling reveal in the near future.

Jawan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023 and the fifth highest-grossing Indian film ever, amassing over Rs 1,160 crore globally. This triumphant debut led Atlee to set sights beyond India’s borders, confirming his long-awaited Hollywood endeavor.

“Yes, it’s happening,” said Atlee, reflecting on his journey from aspiring filmmaker to one of India’s most sought-after directors. “It took me eight years to reach Bollywood…maybe in the next three years, you will see something there with a great announcement.”

The 37-year-old director emphasized his unwavering commitment to entertaining audiences, stating, “I have been genuine to my promise. I have kept my responsibility the same.” If Atlee does venture into Hollywood, fans can expect him to maintain the high standards he has established throughout his career.

Aside from his forthcoming Hollywood project, Atlee is eagerly anticipating the release of his new film, Baby John. Starring Varun Dhawan alongside Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, the movie is a Hindi adaptation of Vijay Sethupathi’s hit film Theri. With a stellar cast and crew, Baby John promises to continue Atlee’s streak of successful films when it hits theaters on May 31, 2024.
