Anees Bazmee Clears Up Misunderstandings About Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again Clash
Amid speculation about a potential release clash between Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again, filmmaker Anees Bazmee has clarified his recent statements. Reports suggested that Bazmee dismissed the impact of the clash, but he has now addressed these misinterpretations.
Bazmee took to social media to clarify his position, stating, “Some media personnel are misinterpreting my statement. As a filmmaker with over three decades of experience, I focus on crafting compelling stories, not getting entangled in film release or business dynamics. I’ve seen many films succeed despite releasing on the same day.” He added, “It seems like my words were lost in translation. Let me rephrase: I’m thrilled for both Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3! Two amazing films, two talented teams! Let’s do it together.”
The confusion arose from a Mid-Day article that quoted Bazmee’s comments and appeared to downplay the clash. He said, “Why should I talk to him? It’s a business decision between producers, and I am just the director. Singham Again’s team insists on a Diwali release. Clashes never bring good results. I know that we announced Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s release date a year in advance, but what can we do? I’ve always maintained that a good film doesn’t need a date to work. I won’t get involved in box-office numbers and release dates. Producers and distributors calculate those decisions.”
Bazmee clarified that he only meant to convey, “Ajay and Rohit are my friends. Why should I talk to them about this? This matter rests with the producers, and it’s ultimately their decision.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by T-Series, stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit. Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and new additions like Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff, with Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar in special cameos.
Both films will release during Diwali 2025, adding to the festive excitement.
