Alia Bhatt Starts Filming YRF Spy Universe Project with Action-Packed Schedule

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt dives into the world of espionage with an upcoming, yet-to-be-titled project under Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) expanding spy universe. Bhatt, who recently wrapped up her next project, “Jigra,” prepares for an action-heavy role as a super soldier. The YRF spy universe already features big names like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Katrina Kaif. Bhatt’s addition brings fresh excitement to this star-studded lineup.

According to reports from Mid-day, Bhatt undergoes an intensive two-month training regimen with specialists to embody her formidable character. Filming starts in late July and spans four months, covering various locations across India and abroad, with the goal of wrapping up by the end of the year.

The project kicks off with a high-octane action sequence, showcasing Bhatt’s dedication and readiness for her role. YRF Studios in Andheri serves as her training ground for a month, where she tackles a complex action set-piece in the initial days. Bhatt teams up with co-star Sharvari Wagh, who plays her sister in the film.

A source disclosed, “Director Shiv Rawail plans several fight sequences for the initial phase. After her introduction scene, Alia moves on to another massive action set-piece featuring her and Sharvari joining forces. The Mumbai shoot will proceed with a limited crew and heavy security to prevent leaks.” The action sequences extend beyond Mumbai. The source further revealed that Bhatt and Wagh’s spy mission takes them to the UK, where veteran actor Anil Kapoor joins as their mentor.

Aside from this spy thriller, Bhatt has an exciting lineup of releases, including Vasan Bala’s “Jigra” slated for September 2024 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War,” set for a Christmas 2025 release. Alia Bhatt’s entry into the YRF spy universe marks a thrilling new chapter in her career, promising fans an action-packed cinematic experience.
