Ajay Devgn-Tabu’s ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ Releases August 2

Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s much-anticipated musical love story, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha‘, originally set to release on Friday, July 5, will now hit theaters on August 2. The makers officially announced on July 3 that they delayed the release at the request of exhibitors and the distribution fraternity.

Sources reveal that the makers decided to push the release date due to strong competition from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. They would have struggled to secure sufficient shows if they released on the same date.

An exhibitor commented on the new release date, saying, “August 2 is a good date. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ releases on July 26. Two big films releasing on that day again would not have been ideal.” Now, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha‘ will clash with Janhvi Kapoor-starrer ‘Ulajh’ and Vikrant Massey-starrer ‘The Sabarmati Report’.

The film features Ajay Devgn and Tabu in pivotal roles, along with Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari. Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed the movie, with music by Oscar-winning composer M M Kreem, promising a captivating storyline and stellar performances.

Interestingly, the film’s two teasers have received different certifications. One teaser, with a runtime of 45 seconds, earned a U/A certificate, while the other, slightly longer at 46 seconds, received a clean ‘U’ certificate.
