Aditya Roy Kapur shares his thoughts on Kartik Aaryan replacing him in Aashiqui 3 during a candid chat on Koffee With Karan Season 8.
In a recent episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8, Aditya Roy Kapur opened up about Kartik Aaryan taking over the lead role in Aashiqui 3, a part that Kapur had made famous in Aashiqui 2. Speaking about his replacement, Kapur humorously acknowledged, “There was no chance I could be in this because, in the second part, my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning.”
During the conversation with host Karan Johar, Kapur jokingly mentioned that his character’s demise in Aashiqui 2 rules out his return unless he comes back as a spirit. He playfully added that it would be amusing to haunt Kartik Aaryan in the movie as a ghost.
Kartik Aaryan had previously announced his involvement in Aashiqui 3 via an Instagram post, with acclaimed director Anurag Basu set to helm the project. Aditya Roy Kapur‘s light-hearted take on his replacement in the romantic franchise received attention, emphasizing Aaryan’s suitability for the role.
