Neeru Bajwa Opens Up About Her Bold Role in Action Thriller ‘Tehran’

Neeru Bajwa is set to redefine her on-screen image in Tehran, an intense action thriller that blends high-stakes global politics with raw human emotion. Starring alongside John Abraham and Manushi Chhillar, the film offers Neeru a character that is both fierce and emotionally grounded.

In a recent statement, Neeru shared,

“Tehran is unlike anything I’ve done before. It’s not just action-packed—it’s emotionally intense and politically layered. What really got me was how strong and clear my character is. She stands her ground even when everything is falling apart.”

Neeru emphasized that her character isn’t just a sidekick or token presence in the film.

“She’s guided by her values, unafraid to fight for what she believes in. Tehran doesn’t sugarcoat reality—it’s bold, raw, and honest. And I think people will feel that deeply.”

Directed by Arun Gopalan and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Shobhna Yadav, and Sandeep Leyzell, Tehran draws inspiration from real-world events and is set to premiere on ZEE5 on August 14, right before India’s Independence Day.

The film is already generating buzz for its mix of action, drama, and thought-provoking themes—making it one of ZEE5’s most anticipated releases this year.

Neeru was last seen in Son of Sardaar 2 opposite Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, which released in theatres last week. With Tehran, she continues to choose stories that leave a meaningful impact.
