Ayushmann, Wamiqa Gabbi & Sara Ali Khan to Star in Pati, Patni Aur Woh 2

Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to headline Pati, Patni Aur Woh 2, and he’s bringing fresh energy with two exciting co-stars — Wamiqa Gabbi and Sara Ali Khan. While Sara was already confirmed, PeepingMoon.com now reveals that Wamiqa Gabbi will step in as the “patni” (wife), while Sara plays the “woh” (girlfriend) in this quirky romantic comedy.

Ayushmann will take over the lead role originally played by Kartik Aaryan in the 2019 hit, portraying a middle-class man caught between marital duties and extramarital temptation. Wamiqa, known for her performances in Jubilee and Baby John, brings emotional depth and spark to the story, while Sara injects charm and modern appeal.

Director Mudassar Aziz returns to helm the sequel but shifts focus to a fresh, original storyline — told more from the women’s perspective. Unlike the first film, which was a remake of the 1978 classic, this installment introduces a new narrative while preserving the franchise’s essence.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Juno Chopra’s B.R. Studios, the film is set to go on floors this August, with a tight two-month shooting schedule.

Following Pati, Patni Aur Woh 2, Ayushmann will promote Thama, a Diwali release from Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. Wamiqa has multiple projects lined up, including Bhoot Bangla, Goodachari 2, and Raj & DK’s Rakt Brahmand. Sara is preparing for the release of Metro… In Dino and will also reunite with Ayushmann in a spy comedy by Dharma Productions.
