Sourav Ganguly Confirms Rajkummar Rao to Star in His Biopic

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has finally confirmed the lead actor for his much-anticipated biopic. During a recent media interaction, Ganguly revealed that Rajkummar Rao will play him on screen. However, he also mentioned that the project might take over a year to complete due to scheduling issues.

“From what I’ve heard, Rajkummar Rao will play the role, but there are issues of dates… so it will take more than a year to hit the screens,” Ganguly stated.

While the film’s makers have yet to make an official announcement, Ganguly seems confident about the casting decision. Initially, the biopic went through several casting speculations. Reports suggested that Ayushmann Khurrana was the first choice, but he later opted out. Following that, rumors linked Ranbir Kapoor to the role before the makers finalized Rajkummar Rao.
