Director Vishal Bhardwaj is gearing up to begin shooting his latest action thriller in December, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. This film has already generated buzz, marking Bhardwaj’s reunion with Shahid after their last collaboration in Rangoon (2017). According to a report from Mid-Day, Shahid will portray notorious gangster Hussain Ustara, known for his fierce rivalry with Dawood Ibrahim.

Shahid Kapoor’s Intense Preparation
Shahid has already started intense combat training to prepare for the film’s action-packed sequences. The character of Ustara is both physically demanding and mentally complex, and Shahid is delving deep into the role. A source explained, “Vishal sir is helping Shahid understand Ustara’s motivations and psychological battles. His preparation goes beyond action to capture the essence of Ustara’s mind.”

Triptii Dimri’s Role Tied to Revenge
Triptii Dimri plays a significant role in the film, reportedly driven by revenge. She has started workshops to get into the mindset of her character, whose personal vendetta will play a pivotal part in the film’s narrative. Both actors are currently preparing independently, with joint rehearsals scheduled to begin soon.

For Vishal Bhardwaj, this project is a long-cherished dream. He originally planned a biopic on Sapna Didi, with Irrfan Khan as Ustara and Deepika Padukone in the lead role. Although that project was shelved, Bhardwaj has now found his perfect Ustara in Shahid Kapoor.
