George Strait Sets U.S. Concert Attendance Record at Kyle Field, College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Country music legend George Strait made history this weekend at his concert held at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas.

According to Texas A&M University, a staggering 110,905 enthusiastic fans turned out for George Strait’s performance on Saturday. This attendance figure sets a new record for the highest attendance at a ticketed concert in the United States, surpassing the previous record set by the Grateful Dead in 1977 at Raceway Park in New Jersey, where 107,019 fans attended.

Dubbed “George Strait: The King at Kyle Field,” the event also marked a record for the largest attendance at any event held at Kyle Field, surpassing the 2014 game between the Texas A&M Aggies and Ole Miss.

In addition to George Strait’s iconic performance, the concert featured appearances by Parker McCollum and Catie Offerman, adding to the star-studded lineup.

Among the notable attendees were Texas Governor Greg Abbott and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, who joined over a hundred thousand fans to witness this historic musical event.
