Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is back with a vengeance, embarking on a gritty, hard-hitting thriller starring Bobby Deol. The film, currently untitled, began shooting in Mumbai on May 14 and aims to wrap up by June 2024.
According to Peeping Moon, Sanya Malhotra reunites with Bobby Deol after their collaboration in Shah Rukh Khan’s production, Love Hostel. Joining the cast are Malayalam actor Joju George, making his Bollywood debut, and Saba Azad, praised for her role in the Sony LIV series Rocket Boys. The trio will play pivotal roles alongside Deol, contributing to a story intricately woven into a sensitive real-life event.
While details of the plot are tightly under wraps, reports suggest that the film is a powerful thriller that delves into significant issues, showcased in Kashyap’s signature raw and unflinching style. The film promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of contemporary themes.
Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, the film’s script is penned by Sudip Sharma, known for NH10, Udta Punjab, Paatal Lok, and Kohrra, alongside Abhishek Banerjee, who wrote Pari. With a swift production schedule, the film is targeting a theatrical release later this year, marking an anticipated addition to Kashyap’s repertoire of compelling cinema.
