In a significant development for Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor is set to lead the cast in the upcoming film “Ramayana,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie, which has been in the works for some time, boasts a star-studded lineup including Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol will portray Lord Hanuman, with Lara Dutta as Kaikyegi and Rakul Preet Singh as Shrupanakha.
According to a source from Bollywood Hungama, the first part of “Ramayana” will focus on introducing Lord Rama, his family in Ayodhya, his marriage to Sita, and their 14-year exile. The initial installment is expected to culminate dramatically with Sita’s abduction by Ravana. The filmmakers aim to present the epic tale in a captivating and sensitive manner without rushing through the narrative.
The second and third parts of the film are anticipated to delve into further adventures, including Lord Ram and Lakshman meeting Lord Hanuman and the Vaanar Sena, as well as the epic battle between the Vaanar Sena and Ravana’s army. Reports suggest that “Ramayana” will be officially announced on April 17, 2024, coinciding with Ram Navami
