“Caddyshack” and “Tron” Star Cindy Morgan Found Dead at Home – Hollywood Mourns Iconic Actress

Renowned actress Cindy Morgan, famous for her roles in “Caddyshack” and “Tron,” has passed away at her Florida home. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirms her death, ruling out foul play.

 

Cindy Morgan, the celebrated actress known for her memorable roles in “Caddyshack” and “Tron,” was found dead in her home in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, responding to an investigation, confirmed her passing. Morgan’s roommate, returning from a holiday trip, discovered her absence and a “strong odor” emitting from her room. The actor was last seen alive on Dec. 19, 2023.

Authorities found Morgan deceased in her bedroom on the evening of Dec. 30, 2023, with no suspicion of foul play. Born Cynthia Ann Cichorski in Chicago in 1951, Morgan’s career spanned decades, featuring appearances in numerous films and TV shows.

From her early days as a DJ and weather forecaster to her breakout in Hollywood, Morgan’s journey was marked by commercials, acting classes, and notable roles. She first gained fame as Lacey Underall in the 1980 comedy “Caddyshack” alongside comedy legends Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, and Rodney Dangerfield.

Her iconic portrayal of scientist Lora Baines-Bradley in the 1982 sci-fi film “Tron” solidified her status in the industry. Over the years, Morgan graced screens in TV shows like “The Love Boat” and “CHiPs” and movies including “The Midnight Hour” and “Galaxis.”

Cindy Morgan’s untimely death has left Hollywood in mourning, reflecting on the legacy of an actress who contributed significantly to the entertainment world.
