Top players from Duncanville’s state championship team announced their college choices
On Thursday, two top players from Duncanville’s state championship team announced their college goals.
Caden Durham, the 4-star running back who was named Duncanville’s offensive MVP last season, had LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M hats on the table before his sister announced he was headed to Baton Rouge.
Then came Colin Simmons, a 5-star enlist named the country’s leading edge hurrying possibility.
With LSU, Miami, Texas, and even SMU on the table, he ultimately picked the Longhorns.
Simmons said his two finalists were Texas and LSU. However, Durham says they never discussed the chance of collaborating.
“I mean, we knew the chance, yet we never talked about it. On the off chance that it worked out, it worked out,” said Durham.
Durham will play football and run track at LSU.
Even though the seniors are looking forward to their school professions, they realize more business must be done at Duncanville.
They say the achievement they encountered last year was exceptional.
“It is a big deal to us, however, to everyone, particularly Duncanville. Like we brought a state title to Duncanville,” said Simmons.
