Tropical Storm Marco engulfed portions of the Gulf Coast on Monday, one of two threatening part f the system in the region.
Weather Forecaster said, Monday Afternoon or evening, Marco was expected to make landfall in Louisiana as a tropical storm. After that, Tropical Storm Laura is expected to reach the hurricane's status before it walks toward the Gulf Coast on Wednesday and Thursday.
The forecaster said that Laura could be a much bigger deal than Marco.
Heavy rain accompanied by high winds from Laura, the Hurricane Center reported, "From late Wednesday into Friday, Laura is expected to produce rainfall of 5 to 10 inches, with isolated maximum amounts of 15 inches across portions of the west-central U.S. Gulf Coast near the Texas and Louisiana border north into portions of the Lower Mississippi Valley."
