'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,' starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, to be Karan Johar's directorial debut. Now, ahead of presenting his comedy act for a reality program, the filmmaker has stated that he is "done with insulting people" and wants to devote his attention to filmmaking.

Karan revealed in an interview with a news source that he has been restricting himself because he is worried about the consequences of his previous issues. The filmmaker admits to having bubbles in his head about topics that he got unable to express. "There are so many things I want to say in my set-piece (on the show), but I'm feeling extremely confined, not for any other reason than that I'm afraid I'll offend someone somewhere, which I don't want to do because I get done offending people," he explains.

Karan further stated that he only wants to focus on making movies and not be distracted by the controversy surrounding him. “I feel compelled to limit and suppress a lot of what I want to express. That's the only thing that makes me sadder than anything else because I believe I can laugh at myself, but I know a lot of others can't." According to Karan, he informed the news portal.

The director also stated that the film industry is sensitive and lacking in humor. When asked if there are any topics he avoids discussing, he laughs that anything that isn't about him is off-limits.
