Good news for all parents out there looking for some events where they could swap or trade-in used baby's car seat. Target is here with the event starting Sunday, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Sept. 26, where the company will conduct its eco-friendly car seat trade-in event.
Parents can bring their outdated car seats to the drop-off boxes near the Guest Services area of Target stores participating in this event during this event.
In return, you will get a coupon for 20% a brand new car seat, stroller, or select baby gear item.
Let's understand the trade-in program:
· Bring an old car seat or base to the participating Target store and drop it in the designated box outside the store.
· Open the Target App on your phone to scan the code on the box. You can talk to the Team Member in Guest Services if you need any help.
· Open your Wallet in the Target App and view "Extra offers" to find your coupon + more contactless savings.
· You will see a green checkmark next to the offer, click on it and place your order online, or scan your barcode at the register.
According to the company's policy, they will "accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged."
Target launched its first trading event in 2016, and the company has recycled about 14.4 million pounds of material since that day.
